UV Measuring Tape

The need to measure UV varies according to your application, but one residing common feature is true for all – if you don’t know the wavelength and intensity of the UV source, you cannot be sure that the process is going to work in the predicted manner. You cannot establish, maintain, improve or troubleshoot a process without measuring it.

  • UV Labels:  A basic, reliable, low cost, in-house method of monitoring UV intensity. When exposed to UV, the yellow labels undergo a gradual colour change from yellow to blue that is directly related to the energy value received.
  • UV Strips:  These are the first product that can be used to determine levels of UV dose with a simple visual inspection due to the 5 separate colour changing zones. Each of the 5 zones begin to change colour after a specific amount of UV dose has been received. First the “1” zone begins turning from yellow to blue. Then each subsequent colour zone starts to change colour when its specific chemistry has received the proper amount of UV to activate its colour change.

UVICURE ®  PLUS II:

Single channel integrating radiometer which measures total UV energy density and peak UV  irradiance. Specify bandwidth (UVA, UVB, UVC or UVV).

Display is selectable- provides  data screen mode, graph screen mode, or reference mode for baseline comparison. Includes  Communications Package to download data to a computer for statistical analysis and data  logging which includes software CD, Instruction Sheet and Cable. Also available for LED  monitoring — 380-410nm.

UV POWER  PUCK ® II:

4-Channel integrating radiometer which measures total energy density simultaneously of 4  separate wavelengths (250-260nm, 280-320nm, 320-390nm, 395-445nm).

Display is selectable –  provides data screen mode which displays Joules of all 4 bandwidths simultaneously in one  screen, graph screen mode, or reference mode for baseline comparison. Includes  Communications package to download data to a computer for statistical analysis and data  logging which includes software CD, Instruction Sheet, and Cable. Also available for LED  monitoring — 380-410nm
(note* If ordered with LED monitoring capability, the UVC  bandwidth is replaced with the “LED” monitoring bandwidth).

 

MICROCURE ®:

Extremely small single channel integrating radiometer which measures total UV energy density
and peak UV irradiance in demanding applications (ex. Narrow web, bottle printing, can
decoration).

Requires DataReader for data output. Specify 10 or 2 Watt intensity. Currently
available in UVA.

Requires DataReader for data display.

DATAREADER ® :

Portable reader to display UV energy density and intensity readings accumulated by the  MicroCure radiometer.

MICROCURE ® STARTER KIT:

Includes 2 MicroCures and 1 DataReader. Specify 10 or 2 Watt intensity for each MicroCure

SPOTCURE ®

Self-contained instrument designed to measure the intensity emitted by a spotcuring system.  Complete with carrying case and three light guide adapter (5mm, 7mm, and 10mm). Specify  bandwidth.

PALM Probe ®:

Portable Ambient Light Measurement System that can measure and display Watts/Joules/Seconds in  applications where measurement space is limited. Specify bandwidth (280-320nm, 320-390nm, or 395- 445nm)

PALM  Probe LOCATOR KIT

Allows light guide to be inserted into the UV system in a consistent manner and location

   

Online Monitoring

 

MULTIBRITE:

4-channel UV monitoring system (requires purchase of sensors). Supplied with 4-20mA and 0-10V output.

DIN RAIL:

Single channel UV monitoring system incorporating DIN rail convenience. No display; requires  shared display capability.

Readout is displayed as a percentage of 100% original output.

Requires purchase of Compact Sensor.

One DIN Rail system requires one DIN Rail Monitor and one Compact Sensor.

ONLINE UV INTENSITY DISPLAY

Single channel UV monitoring system which includes front display.

Readout is displayed as a percentage of 100% original output. Alarm functions and 0-10V output.

Requires purchase of Compact Sensor.

One online UV Intensity Display Module system requires one Online UV Intensity Display Module and one Compact Sensor.

COMPACT SENSOR

Small sealed sensor package with optional port for air/nitrogen purge to keep sensor clean.

Compact Sensor connects to any of our display options.

Specify bandwidth and display option for correct cable connector.

 

Thermal Process Control

 

TIP1K:

Thermal Process Controller – Self-contained, digitally programmable hot air source for use in  production and process development. Set points produce selected air temperatures and flow  rates or velocities at the heater exit for repeatable process control.

Specify metric, or U.S.  versions and 5, 10 or 15 feet hose length for heater assembly.

Ships in standard hard-walled  cardboard and foam case.
