UV Measuring Tape
The need to measure UV varies according to your application, but one residing common feature is true for all – if you don’t know the wavelength and intensity of the UV source, you cannot be sure that the process is going to work in the predicted manner. You cannot establish, maintain, improve or troubleshoot a process without measuring it.
- UV Labels: A basic, reliable, low cost, in-house method of monitoring UV intensity. When exposed to UV, the yellow labels undergo a gradual colour change from yellow to blue that is directly related to the energy value received.
- UV Strips: These are the first product that can be used to determine levels of UV dose with a simple visual inspection due to the 5 separate colour changing zones. Each of the 5 zones begin to change colour after a specific amount of UV dose has been received. First the “1” zone begins turning from yellow to blue. Then each subsequent colour zone starts to change colour when its specific chemistry has received the proper amount of UV to activate its colour change.
Alpha-Cure provides instruments designed to help our customers and our equipment measure the important parameters of the curing process. We also offer a number of different reliable UV measuring Systems:
